9th Grade Year:

Begin weight training under supervision

Increase foot speed and quickness

Focus on your school work and get good grades

Begin research about college baseball, here are some question to start your research:

• What is the NCAA, Division I, Division II, Division III, NAIA, NJCAA baseball
• Where are colleges located
• What are college camps and high school showcase tournaments

10th Grade Year:

Play more baseball. Make your JV or Varsity team

Consider taking private instruction

Commit to weight training under supervision and introduce conditioning training

Increase foot speed and quickness; add running form

Continue focus on your school work and get good grades

Start research on high school showcases for next year.

Prep for SAT 

11th Grade Year:

Play more baseball. Make your Varsity team

Goto local camps or obtain advance training

Commit to weight training under supervision and conditioning training; introduce core training

Increase foot speed and quickness and continue improve running form

Continue focus on your school work and get good grades

Prep for and take SAT exams

Submit NCAA Eligibilty Center form online

Verify NCAA Eligibility

Research top five college choices; review current roster, review freshman commitments and player positions, determine position needs

Considered going to top choice college baseball camp to get direct feedback from recruiting coach to secure recruitment status

Consider going to high school showcase tournament (be ready)

Contact top five college choices; by website, email or letter

Have high school coach make contact and recommendation to top five colleges

Prepare skills video

Be flexible and open minded to all colleges anywhere in the US
